A Next Generation Voice
Come hear Ben Carasso
Next week our community will hear from someone remarkable.
Ben Carasso is just 11 years old, yet he has become one of the most compelling young voices sharing what life has been like for Israeli children during this war.
Ben lives in Tel Aviv. Like many Israeli kids he has experienced nights running to a safe room as rockets were fired toward his city and living with the uncertainty that has shaped daily life in Israel since October 7.
When a close friend’s father was taken hostage, Ben felt the world needed to hear what children were experiencing too. He began speaking online and around the world about the realities Israeli children face and the simple hope that every child deserves safety, normal life and peace.
What makes Ben powerful is his authenticity. He speaks not as a politician or commentator but as a child who loves sports, friends and everyday life and who believes deeply in standing proudly in who you are.
This event is an opportunity for our community to listen to the next generation and to encourage young Jewish voices to feel confident, proud and connected.
We warmly encourage families, students and community members to attend.
Come hear Ben Carasso.
Come be inspired by the strength of the next generation.

Missiles in the North, War With Iran — Standing With Israel
This week, Israel continues to face extraordinary challenges on multiple fronts. The war with Iran has already underscored the scale and complexity of the threats confronting the Jewish state, with Israel once again demonstrating both its military capability and its resilience in the face of aggression.
At the same time, communities in northern Israel are experiencing renewed and intensified missile attacks from Hezbollah. Families across the Galilee are once again spending long hours near shelters as rockets target civilian areas. The reality of fighting on several fronts simultaneously is a stark reminder of the security environment Israel must navigate every day.
In moments like these, the connection between Israel and Jewish communities around the world becomes even more important. Here in Australia, our thoughts remain with the people of Israel — the soldiers defending the country, the families seeking safety, and the communities showing remarkable courage under fire.
As always, we stand firmly with Israel and with all those working to ensure its security, strength and future.
Royal Commission on Antisemitism – Community Submissions Now Open
The Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion is now accepting submissions from individuals and organisations about experiences of antisemitism in Australia. Submissions are open until at least May 2026.
To support the community in sharing experiences safely, peak Jewish organisations have launched a new initiative: ShareYourStory.
The ShareYourStory website provides clear information about the Royal Commission, guidance on making a submission, prompts to help people tell their story, and information about available legal support.
🔗 Royal Commission submissions: https://www.royalcommission.gov.au
🔗 ShareYourStory support site: https://shareyourstory.org.au
Questions can also be sent to info@shareyourstory.org.au.
Sharing lived experiences is one of the most important ways the Commission can understand the real impact of antisemitism on Jewish Australians today.
