Israel Lights Up the Night!

Welcome Home Edan!

On Monday evening, after 584 days we watched as American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander was finally released from Hamas captivity and reunited with his family. Edan, we are so happy to see you home with your family and we send our love and support from Australia.

We continue to advocate and pray for the release of the remaining 58 hostages.

This photo was released by the IDF. Edan Alexander hugs a family member in Re’im, southern Israel, following his release on May 12.

Eurovision Success

Israel’s Eurovision contestant Yuval Raphael, a survivor of the October 7 Nova festival massacre, has advanced to the Grand Final, after her win at the semi final last night (early morning Australian time) in Basel, with her song “New Day Will Rise”. Yuval Raphael was joined by two of her friends Adar Duchan and Bar Goldstein also survivors.

See Yuval’s performance below and make sure to vote in the Grand Final on Sunday 18 May at 5:00am, by following the instructions on this link to find out how you can support Yuval.

Last Night’s Lag B’Omer Festivities

Last night, Zionism Victoria hosted a beautiful evening of Jazz and Klezmer and featured the Fifth of Nissan Band.

Our celebrations included live music which fused sounds from the Shtetl and had a modern twist.

You can see some photos by Noam Cohney from last night’s festivities below.
