PJV – A Zionism Victoria Affiliate
Progressive Judaism Victoria (PJV) is the peak body of the Progressive Jewish movement in Victoria, representing congregations, advocating for inclusive Jewish life and supporting community programs that bring Progressive Judaism’s values to contemporary life.
What they do
Act as the umbrella and representative body for Progressive Jewish communities and organisations across Victoria, promoting collaboration, advocacy and shared vision.
Support Progressive Jewish values of inclusivity, egalitarianism and contemporary interpretation of Jewish tradition, encouraging meaningful Jewish engagement for all age groups.
Represent affiliated synagogues, youth programs and other Progressive services in communal and interfaith settings, including public advocacy and community partnership.
Foster community-wide events, educational initiatives and cultural engagement rooted in Progressive Jewish practice.
Serve as a communication hub and support network for member congregations, schools and affiliated organisations.
