A taste of Jewish life

Fifty students from Melton Christian College got a true taste of Israel when they visited the Lamm Jewish Library of Australia at Beth Weizmann today as part of Zionism Victoria’s Connecting Cultures program.

The day-trip, coordinated by ZV’s Daniella Gozlan, also involved a visit to the Melbourne Holocaust Museum and St Kilda Hebrew Congregation.

At the library, the Year 10 students enjoyed a falafel lunch and watched a video about Israel.

Reflecting on the importance of Connecting Cultures in building tolerance and understanding, Daniella said, “Education is the key to facilitating any change in the community.”
