At the Zionism Victoria & Zionist Federation of Australia Yom Ha’atzmaut reception on Wednesday night, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced that the Government was adopting the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism.
He also reiterated his plans to ban public displays of the swastika and his commitment of a further $2million to Holocaust education.
Zionism Victoria, which has long advocated for the adoption of IHRA, was quoted in a number of news stories both locally and overseas.
