Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in Australia to give briefing on current situation

Anat Sultan-Dadon, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Israel in Australia, will give a formal briefing on the recent increase in violence in Israel, Wednesday 28 October, 8:00pm at Beth Weizmann Community Centre, 306 Hawthorn Road in South Caulfield.

The sharp increase in attacks on Israelis in bus stations and on the streets throughout the country over the past three weeks has heightened interest and concern particularly around the issues of incitement and media coverage of the events. Sultan-Dadon will provide an update and overview of the situation and will answer questions from the floor.

Mrs Sultan-Dadon assumed her role as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Israeli Embassy in Canberra at the end of August. Her previous post was as political counsellor in charge of Press, Culture and Public Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Israel in The Hague. Since joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in 2004, she has been posted in Cameroon and Berlin and served in Israel as a desk officer for Russia and Ukraine.

The briefing is being coordinated by Zionism Victoria together with the Jewish Community Council of Victoria and the Zionist Federation of Australia.
