The Israel Advocacy Network aims to provide information, develop advocacy skills and provide a peer support network for individuals and smaller advocacy groups around Victoria in an attempt to act as a stronger and more unified advocacy network. There is an underlying dissatisfaction with media reporting amongst Jewish communities, in Melbourne and around the world.
The Israel Advocacy Network was relaunched in 2003 and continues to grow in size and actions. Participants monitor Israel bias in the media and, empowered by workshops and seminars run by international and local specialists, respond of their own volition often getting letters published.
The Israel Advocacy Network is open to all community members no matter what previous level of knowledge is held. It is possible to attend in order to gain further information or to gain ideas of how it is possible to become more active in trying to create a positive image for Israel .
The Network provides: | |
– | Information – via guest speakers, seminars and emails |
– | Skill Development workshops |
– | Networking with peers |
