A visit to the Holocaust Centre or Jewish Museum

An examination of the issues surrounding the Holocaust and its impact on Jewish life and thought. Includes a guided tour of this stirring and thought-provoking museum by a Holocaust survivor.

Israeli-style lunch and talk at Beth Weizmann Community Centre

Take time to discuss the morning’s activities and relax over an Israeli lunch of traditional felafel in pita bread, with an accompanying range of Middle-Eastern dips.

Israel – People, Politics and Peace. Examine the significance and allure that Israel holds for the Jewish people around the world. Learn the facts behind the current Middle East situation and gain an understanding of some of the complex issues involved.

Religion in Jewish Life

A ‘hands-on’ look at the rituals and themes surrounding Jewish religious practice. This segment includes a visit to a synagogue and discussion with the Rabbi.

Costs

While the Public Speaker Service is free, there are charges associated with entrance to the Holocaust Museum (by donation), the Jewish Museum of Australia (upon application) and the Israeli lunch ($4.95 per person inc. GST). Please note that prices do vary from time to time.
